‘Aha is a Hawaiian word for a meeting where members gather to discuss matters and provide leadership to a group of people. For UTOPIA Hawai‘i, our ‘Aha (sometimes called by the Samoan word, Fono) is comprised of members who make the guiding decisions for our group. Committees include Artwork, Newsletter, Culture, and Events & Activities.
‘Aha / Fono meetings are usually held once a month, while committees may meet more frequently. To join the ‘Aha UTOPIA, we ask that a person have been to at least two of our functions.
